Remembrance Service in Westminster Cathedral

November 28, 2025 General

More than forty supporters and friends joined us in St Patrick's Chapel, Westminster Cathedral on Thursday 27 November for our annual remembrance service for those in the Irish community who have recently died.

Led by Bishop Paul McAleenan and supported by the Caritas Deaf Service, those gathered prayed, listened to scripture and lit candles for those who have died while names were read out. Reflective music was offered by Marion Hill.

Grateful thanks were extended to Denis Moloney who sponsored the refreshments and the prayer cards which were given out. Mr Moloney, from Belfast, spoke warmly of the work of the Chaplaincy with those alone and isolated.

We were delighted that friends from CICA London and the Innishfree Housing Association were able to be with us.
