APRIL FOOL - Reflection
We are fools for Christ's sake (1 Corinthians 4:10)
The Fool came to tell us that there is another way. You might turn the other cheek. Pray for your enemies, even love them!! The Fool said that the poor are happy. He said the blind will see. He said the gentle will have the earth. He will set all the prisoners free!
The Fool said His 'ABBA' was a gentle God, who always wants to forgive seventy times seven! The Fool had time for ALL women, for the sick, sinners and lepers as well. But we know how to keep them in their place. We are always suspicious of others, especially, all those who are different from us. The Fool said that they are our Sisters and Brothers!
Yet your friends called you 'The Master'. If you were in our school today in the Religious Knowledge test, the teachers would think you were the clown, and not intelligent - like the rest!
Well, you gave Your Life for Your Word. I have to hand that to you. You did not fight back or run away when all the others deserted and despised you. You prayed forgiveness from the Father for those who tormented and tortured you. You slumped and slouched to your death with inner nobility. We can be so cruel. You broke all the rules. We harshly punished you. ....POOR APRIL FOOL....
