Providing pastoral care in a culturally sensitive way to the Irish community in Britain

Supporting Us

“People Live in One Another’s Shelter’ (Irish Proverb)

Join us on the Journey...The work of ICB is only made possible through the support and commitment of many people who share our passion for journeying in hope with Irish emigrants today.

There are many ways that you can support us:

Volunteering   Volunteering can be a deeply rewarding experience. We have opportunities available for volunteer befrienders for older Irish people, volunteer admin workers, or volunteer prison visitors. We also have vacancies on our board of trustees. Or could you organise a fundraising event for us in your local community?

Online Donation  There are many ways that you can support the ICB either as a one off gift or as a regular donation. We are increasingly dependent on individual donations to enable our work to continue.

£2 a month could fund the travel costs of a volunteer so they can visit a lonely Irish older person

£5 a month could provide an Irish prisoner with phone credit so that they can keep in touch with their family.

£10 a month could help us run a training session to educate public authorities about the need for more legal pitches for Irish Travellers.

Pray for us   Friends and supporters of the Irish Chaplaincy are warmly invited to remember us in their prayers.
